Why Does Life Feel So Much Harder for Me?
A free guide for neurodivergent women who are exhausted from trying so hard to function in a world that often seems easier for everyone else.
You may look capable, thoughtful, and like you have things together on the outside.
But inside, life can feel much heavier than it seems like it should.
Maybe you keep wondering:
Why does everything feel harder for me than it seems to for other people?
Why do I look fine on paper, but still feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unhappy?
Why do I understand myself so well, but still feel stuck?
If you've spent years reading the books, listening to the podcasts, learning about anxiety, ADHD, trauma, attachment, boundaries and burnout…and still feel like something isn't shifting - you may be missing an important piece.
This isn't only happening in your mind. It's happening in your nervous system too.
Maybe you don't need to try harder?
You may be carrying more than you realize.
This guide explores some of the patterns that can make life feel disproportionately hard; even when you're capable, self-aware, and doing everything you can to keep up.
You’ll explore:
Why you can handle so much…until suddenly you can’t.
What looks like procrastination, avoidance, or a lack of motivation may sometimes be a nervous system that has reached its capacity.
Why your mind won’t stop.
Overthinking isn't necessarily a flaw. Sometimes staying prepared, aware, and one step ahead became a way of feeling safer.
Why insight doesn't always create change.
You can understand yourself deeply and still feel stuck when the patterns you're trying to change aren't happening only in your thinking brain.
What your body may be trying to tell you.
Small shifts in breathing, tension, sensation, or even disconnection can offer information about what your nervous system is experiencing.
And what might be possible when you stop treating yourself as the problem.
Not through pushing harder…but through building more safety, flexibility, and connection.

Hi, I'm Shari.
I’m a nature-led somatic psychotherapist supporting women virtually across Canada.
I work especially with women who have spent years being capable, conscientious, self-aware…and overwhelmed and exhausted.
Women who have learned to push through, figure things out, hold everything together, and keep going. Women who may understand themselves incredibly well and still wonder why knowing why hasn't been enough to create the change they want.
My work brings together somatic psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and Deep Brain Reorienting to support healing that includes both mind and body.
Because sometimes the answer isn't understanding yourself more.
Sometimes it's helping your nervous system experience something different.
You don't have to figure this out alone.
If something in this guide felt familiar, you don't need to respond by trying harder.
You may need support that helps you understand what your nervous system has been carrying—and gently begin creating something different.
I offer nature-led somatic psychotherapy for women who are ready for a deeper kind of change: one that makes room for your mind, your body, your history, and the way your nervous system has learned to protect you.
If you're curious about working together, you're welcome to book a free consultation.
